German 2A - Final - 6:00 p.m. 12/17/13

The class will meet at 6:00 p.m.  Please bring your completed workbook/lab manual for Kap. 10 to hand in.
Frau Pahl will hold a final office hour on 12/17 from 4:50 - 5:50 in 820.  So please stop by with any last minutes questions.

Here are the general topics that will be covered:

1.  Listening comprehension re: "Freizeit"

2.  Vocabulary (Kapitel 7-10)

3.  Directions (review how to give directions,
review "Nach dem Weg Fragen", p. 268, review with B.  Pay special attention to the bolded phrases.

4.  Comparative and superlative forms of adjectives

5. Subordinating and coordinating conjunction

6.  Present perfect tense (haben or sein + past particple)

7.  Fill in blanks w/simple past (imperfect) tense

8.  Adjective endings! (Na, klar!)  Review: adjectives preceded by "definite articles", "indefinite articles", and unpreceded adjectives.  Kap 9.

9.  Reflexive pronouns

10. Reading passage w true/false and written questions

11.  "Schreiben", 90 words (30 points): Topic:

Ihr Stadtführer (city guide book). Ihre Klasse schreibt einen Stadtführer für deutsche Touristen. Beschreiben Sie eine berühmte Stadt in Ihrem Land (z.B. New York oder Vancouver) oder die Stadt,
in der Sie wohnen. Welche Sehenswürdigkeiten (attractions) gibt es da? Was kann man da machen? Wie ist das Wetter? Wo kann man günstig übernachten und gut essen? (90 Wörter) (30 Punkte)

I will be looking for complete sentences, details based on vocabulary from this semester, esp. Kap 9 (In der Stadt).  You may, of course, prepare in advance but no notes may be used!
